DRAFT — body needs Carlos’s review.
The most-booked single day in Corcovado. The boat from Drake Bay puts you on Sirena Beach in about an hour, where a naturalist guide takes you through the trails for most of the morning, breaks for lunch at the ranger station, and brings you back to Drake Bay by early afternoon.
If a single day in Costa Rica’s most biologically intense rainforest is what you came for — this is the day. If you can spare two and want better odds on tapirs and the larger animals, the overnight version is the higher-payoff trip.
What to bring
Closed hiking shoes you don’t mind getting wet, sandals for the boat, a lightweight long-sleeve shirt, shorts, sunblock, a refillable water bottle, and your passport.
Important note on park permits
Corcovado is limited to 100 visitors per day. Tickets carry names and passport numbers and cannot be transferred or refunded — the operator needs your full name and passport number at booking.
